Welcome, traveller

A shared world where magic changes other magic

A shared isometric world where magic changes other magic, creatures behave like inhabitants, and what you learn to read matters as much as what you can hit.

What EOSTRA is

A systems-driven RPG built for a shared world

  • No class at creation

Name, race, appearance, background, starting gear. What your character becomes is decided by what they learn and practise.

  • Ten schools, one system

Any school of magic can be learned. Spread broadly and your power spreads thin; specialise and a school opens up fully.

  • The environment takes part

Projectiles strike solid objects, spell-made walls stand on the battlefield, and statuses change how other elements behave.

  • Multiplayer from the foundations

EOSTRA is being built server-authoritative from the start — a shared world, without trading away RPG depth.

Magic

Magic changes other magic

Water leaves its mark. Any successful Water effect leaves a character Wet — ally or enemy — and a Wet target conducts Lightning differently. Positioning becomes part of the spell.

  1. Water A successful Water effect hits a character.
  2. Wet The target is Wet — not weakened, changed. It fades gradually.
  3. Lightning Lightning is drawn to Wet targets, and they bend its arcs.

The world

A world meant to be read

Creatures keep territories, react to what they perceive and flee for their own reasons — not because you outlevel them. Day turns to night on a shared clock. EOSTRA rewards the player who notices things.

Skill spotlight · Hunting

Hunting teaches you to read the world

Hunting doesn't hand you bigger numbers against animals. As it grows, the world tells you more: what made a track, which way it went and how fresh it is, whether an animal was travelling or fleeing — and how a string of signs adds up to a trail story.

Development

Built in the open

EOSTRA is in active development, with substantial systems work already behind it: magic schools and their interactions, creature behaviour, progression and multiplayer foundations.

The first development log is being prepared. No release date, price or platform has been announced.
