Game system In development NPC behaviour

Territorial charger

Creatures that defend their ground: a clear warning first, then a committed charge if the warning is ignored. They do not run from wounds.

Overview

Territorial creatures defend their ground.

  • Coming close: they adopt a warning posture.
  • Coming closer, or striking them: they commit to the fight.
  • Engaged: they charge from range, and fight in melee up close.
  • Wounds do not make them flee.

A committed charge is a committed movement — it can be sidestepped, and the recovery after it punished.
