Roost

Creatures that sleep in roosts through ordinary footsteps — but wake to the noise of a fight, and harass without ever standing still.

Overview

Roosting creatures are docile while they roost. Walking past or standing beneath them never wakes them.

They wake to real disturbances: sprinting, weapon swings, projectiles, spells, impacts and damage. The alarm spreads through the roost a short way, with a short delay.

Awake, they circle their target irregularly and make committed swooping attacks. They never stop to trade blows. Once they lose the threat they calm down and return to the roost.
